We are very lucky to have two fabulous yoga instructors based in Sedbergh, so if you ever need a local tutor, do get in touch with Carol, or Karen.

Carol and Karen used to run a weekly yoga session here at St Marks Stays, but then bookings got busier and we no longer had enough availability for their classes, so I missed seeing them every week. So when groups book either one of them, or both, for their yoga sessions here, it makes my day to see them pop by again.

Of course we recommend them all the time, but here is a little bit about them from some questions I asked, so you can get to know them yourselves.

Carol can offer yoga and aromatherapy massage and believes they can benefit everyone. “Focusing on mind, body and breath helps you tune in to your inner soul and navigate the world more easily.”

Karen has trained in Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Restorative and Viniyoga and has led meditation groups on retreats and in schools. She feels yoga is non competitive and is enjoyable for everyone and everybody.

The ladies can work individually, or together and sessions offered will be adapted to meet your needs physically and mentally. They feel yoga practice is a great way to relieve stress, find awareness and peace, as well as improve your flexibility and strength and can guarantee that you will feel refreshed in body and soul in even half an hour!

Yoga sessions can be anything from 30 minutes to several hours and adapted to current fitness levels.

Aromatherapy massages can be anything from 20 minutes for a back, or head massage, to a full 90 minutes for the whole body. Carol says a massage can be deeply relaxing, helping to ease away stress. Depending on the oils used it can be relaxing and calming or restoring and uplifting.

Carol loves the outdoors and being at one with nature.  She is a keen walker, cyclist, swimmer and fell runner and I often seen her in the area being fully active in our environment here. She talks in the most wonderful way about what she is passionate about.

“Yoga enhances my relationship with my body and with the natural sequence of the seasons. I love helping people find ways to take care of themselves, knowing that people feel good after a massage or a yoga class is the best feeling.”

Karen is like a yoga twin with Carol and feels the same about what she does.
“I love my work and aim to help you feel relaxed through movement and stillness. Whether you are an experienced yogi or a complete beginner, you may find yourself addicted! I never regret rolling out a mat!”

These ladies never fail to make everyone smile that they come in to contact with and being so local they are the perfect instructors to book.
