Everyone deserves to try an adventure and this one includes mountain walking, rock climbing and ghyll scrambling with adventure experts, Becki & Dan from Into The Outside.

We are thrilled to be working in collaboration with Into The Outside for our September, ‘Into Adventure Stays’ retreat. About Into The Outside

Dan & Becki created Into The Outside in 2015 deciding to combine their experience in the great outdoors and channel that passion into offering personal, genuine and unforgettable adventures in the wild landscapes of the Lake District & Howgills.

Responsible adventure tourism is at the heart of everything they do. With their decades of Cumbrian exploration, we are excited to be working with them to make the trip of a lifetime for you.

The Details

  • Monday 27th – Thursday 30th September 2021 – new date tbc

  • 12 places available in total

  • The overall group size will not exceed 12 people, excluding hosts Damian & Joanne (St Marks Stays) and Dan and Becki (Into the Outside). This is to keep the group size casual and enable flexibility of activities.

  • £475 per person

    • £100 secures your place with the balance due 4 weeks before

Activities

  • Arrive Monday to relax, or explore the local Howgill Fells and meet the group over dinner in the evening
  • Two full days of activities in the Lake District and / or Howgill Fells
  • One day fully guided mountain walking – 800m plus Lakeland peak with the option of some scrambling terrain and possibly an optional lake or tarn swim if the route allows
  • One combination day of both rock climbing and ghyll scrambling
  • Say your goodbyes & leave on Thursday at your leisure
  • Evenings can be spent as a group reminiscing about the day or planning the next day ahead over dinner and a drink around the fire pit at St Marks Stays watching the sun set over the Howgill Fells.

The itinery is a guide, and the precise activities and locations will be determined during the stay to suit the weather conditions and experience of the group. Weather in Cumbria is unpredictable and is part of the beauty of the environment. Activities therefore may need to be tailored to suit extreme weather at the time of the event for safety reasons.

All specialist equipment will be provided by Into The Outside (safety equipment, wet suits etc) and a full kit list of what you need to bring will be sent to you.

Activities will be suitable for all abilities and experience, although a relative level of fitness will be required. Dan and Becki are great at working with the capabilities of the group to make sure everyone gets the most out of the activities for a memorable experience.

Transport from St Marks Stays to activity locations will be by individual participants cars. We will of course encourage car sharing as much as possible which we will liaise on the first evening. All activities will be within an approximate hours drive of St Marks Stays.

If you need to cancel at any point after a 48 hour cooling off period, we are unable to offer refunds of payments made to date due to the nature of the event. Should we fill your place however, we will of course refund at our discretion.

Should the event not be able to go ahead due to Covid related restrictions then full refunds will be provided.
