It is always so lovely to see Grace pull in to the drive here at St Marks Stays. Always cheerful, always smiling and all we ever hear from guests who have had treatments with her, is how lovely it was. So let us introduce Grace to you in our latest Meet the Local experts series.
Grace lives in Sedbergh and runs Grace Elizabeth Beauty, offering facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and other beauty treatments, using Neal’s Yard products, which if you are have never come across, are absolutely beautiful. Even Damian prefers their hand cream to O’Keeffe’s Working Hands cream – too much information, well maybe.
Back to Grace, who grew up in the Howgill Fells and gets outside when she can, between running her own business and looking after her family.
Treatments are relaxed and calm and typically between 30 to 60 minutes.
Grace says If you’re unsure about having a treatment just have a chat with her. If you’d love a massage but feel nervous about a full body start with an Indian head. Anyone can have a treatment and if you don’t feel you can get up on the treatment bed there’s always a way round it.
Different treatments have different benefits. Massage helps reduce muscle tension and ease aches and pains. Facials improve your skin leaving your feeling relaxed and glowing. Manicures and pedicures improve the appearance of feet and hands. For any treatment taking a little time out for yourself is great for lowering stress and improving our overall wellbeing.
When asked what she loves about her business, Grace says she gets to meet so many lovely people and when a client tells her that they had the best nights sleep after one of her massages, or that their shoulders feel so much better, it’s a great feeling.
We see lots of groups and retreats book Grace, so that just shows how good she is.
